I grew up in Hudson Quebec and attended the Montreal Museum School of Art & Design , Dawson College in fine arts and received a B.A. in fine arts and environmental studies from Waterloo University. I married Richard and in the late 70’s we moved to the USA , where , after our 3 children were in school, I continued to take painting courses, with amazing and talented painters, and also did garden design. I have exhibited in galleries in Scituate Mass. and Portsmouth N.H. and in Montreal and have won several awards for my pastel paintings , including a first prize at the South Shore Art Festival. I am a member of the Eastern Pastel Society of Canada, In which ,in 2014, I won 4th prize in it's annual juried show. I am also a signature Psec member. I also paint in acrylics.
After living overseas in both Europe and the Caribbean and then back to the USA , we settled down , back in Hudson, 7 years ago.
I continue to paint, garden and travel, with nature always being a huge inspiration to my work. I find my painting and gardening make a beautiful combination, one influencing the other ; through line ,colour and texture , creating depth ,contrast and vibrance.
